One of my favorite stories about creativity comes from Steve Chandler.

As I remember it, a business with a warehouse problem was stuck at arriving at the solution.

Steve was hired and showed up with a brilliant idea, that everyone try to come up with a bunch of (seemingly) silly ideas first.

Once a person or two mustered the courage to get the ball rolling, the dozens of people gathered in the conference room started to laugh and laugh.

They got to laugh off their unexpressed frustrations at the problem until someone had a genuinely bright idea dawn upon them.

The team (and now much moreso truly a team) rushed off to implement it.

Any organization, any individual can do something just so, like this.

If you were thinking you can't paint, bollocks!

We could wait until it rains and you could dip a finger or thumb or other appendage into some mud and then mud paint somewhere to your heart's content.
